OUR BELIEFS
On God
We believe in one true and living God who is eternal and is the creator and sustainer of all things, manifested in three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
On The Scriptures
We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God, both the Old Testament and the New Testament. It is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of all mankind and is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
On The Lord Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is God. He is fully God and fully man and the fullness of the Godhead dwells within Him. He is King of kings and Lord of lords and all authority has been given to Him in heaven and on earth. Jesus is the only way of salvation for all of mankind. He pre-existed with God in the form of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and lived a sinless life, He willingly laid down His life as a substitutionary work, taking upon Himself the sins of the world for all those that would believe in Him, His blood is sufficient to eradicate all sins and He satisfied the righteousness that God required, and did so for us. There is no other name or person that we can have eternal life through other than the Lord Jesus Christ. We receive Him and His atoning work by faith, into our hearts, resulting in salvation.
On The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God. At the point of salvation He comes to indwell those that repent of their sins, ask for forgiveness and put their faith and trust in Christ. His sanctifying power in the believer enables Him to minister supernaturally demonstrating the defeat of Satan and the power of God. We further believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts and fruits of the Spirit mentioned in Acts 1:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 and Galatians 5:22, 23.
On The Return of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return literally, physically, personally and visibly to the earth and establish His Kingdom. We further believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life and the lost (those that did not believe on and receive Christ) to everlasting damnation.
On God’s Love
We believe man’s fall in the Garden caused all of mankind to come under a curse, consequently man is plagued with a sinful nature and creation now experiences the effects of Adam’s original sin. Because human beings are now born in sin, they are subject to God’s judgment, which is death. But God did not want anyone to perish, but that everyone should come to repentance. Because of God’s love, He sent His Son to redeem mankind back in right relationship with Him, and provided a way for sin to no longer have dominion over us. Since the wages of sin is death, Jesus laid down His life so that none of us would have to pay those wages. Through His loving sacrifice, all those that come to God by Jesus Christ can have fellowship with God once again. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. The Bible declares God’s love in the Gospel of John, chapter 3 verse 16, it states; “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!
OUR LEADERSHIP
Dane & Susan Eason
SENIOR PASTORS
Dane and Susan got married in 1978, and soon after they became born again. They served at the New Horizons Church in McMinnville, OR for 22 years. In 1990 Dane was ordained Pastor and served as an Elder at NHC until moving to Lincoln City, OR in 2002, to fulfill a call they had received years before to plant a church in this city.
They have two married daughters. Erica and her husband Jayce O'neal, have four children, Seren , Arwen, Titus and Dunamis, they reside and pastor the Red Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Their second daughter Emily and her husband Thiago Gomes, have two daughters, Angelina and Isabella, they reside in Lincoln City, Oregon.
Thiago & Emily Gomes
PASTORS/ ELDERS
Thiago and Emily graduated from Portland Bible College in 2003, and soon after joined forces with Pastors Dane and Susan, in Lincoln City, to help plant City Gate Church. In October/2011 Thiago was ordained Pastor, and joined the eldership team at CGC. Emily serves as the Worship Leader. Thiago and Emily have two daughters, Angelina and Isabella.
Bob & Sue MacGregor
ELDERS
Bob and Sue MacGregor are the founding Pastors of City Harvest Church. Bob is a member of the Apostolic Leadership Team of Ministers Fellowship International and is involved in serving churches throughout the world with his Apostolic and Prophetic ministry. Sue serves with her husband in this capacity and is also used in teaching the Word and Prophetic ministry.
OUR FELLOWSHIP
City Gate Church pastors are Ministers Fellowship International members, and through this fellowship, we are connected to thousands of church leaders worldwide.
Ministers Fellowship International exists to facilitate and nurture meaningful relationships among member ministers, equipping and enabling them to be more effective in their callings, for the purpose of building and multiplying strong local churches around the world.
MFI is not a denomination. It is a fellowship. MFI exists for the support of local church ministers and their churches.
